Welcome to Soli Dei Gloria Choir
the most fun, non-auditioned, multi-generational, community choir in the Pike's Peak region. 

For over 50 years we have offered sacred music from all cultures and backgrounds. We believe in the unifying power of choral music. Our dedication to quality makes SDG a great place for both experienced, and beginning singers to learn and grow.

Registration / Trial dates occur in January and September.

SDG Chamber Singers auditions will occur following September registration for the 2024 / 2025 season

Frequently Asked Questions

Musical background and ability required: 
If you can match pitch, you are ready to sing with SDG. Membership includes both true beginners and music professionals. Music reading ability will make participation much easier, but it is not required. Everyone is learning and growing together. If you are interested in working with a private vocal instructor one-on-one, we can assist you in finding an instructor that is right for you. 
 
Participation Cost:

   $ 135 SDG Choir (each semester due in September and January)

   $ 60 SDG Chamber Singer (each semester due in October and January)

   $ FREE SDG Summer Sing (donations greatly appreciated)

   $ 100+ one time formal performance attire purchase

   $ 25 Casual attire (occasional, may be a black or custom t-shirt, as needed)


Formal Performance Attire Options:

  • Custom top with a choice of skirt or pants. Order info and sizing provided following registration.

  • Black tux or black suit with white shirt, black bowtie, black pants, and black (or crazy socks.)

Financial assistance via payment plans or scholarships and are available at Board discretion. Please email SDG prior to your second rehearsal to inquire about funding availability and options. We work to make it possible for all to sing. If you are able to contribute to enable scholarships, please talk with the SDG Treasurer, President, or Executive Director. Thank you!


Concert Participation: 
You are welcome to sing with SDG regardless of concert participation. As our director says,

“Performances offer our community a glimpse into the journey we share together each week.”

Our hope is that you sing for all performances and attend the majority of rehearsals. 
 
Member Expectations: 

  • Support the SDG Mission

  • Willingness to grow and learn 

  • Individual practice between rehearsals

  • Support and assist colleagues

  • Participate in Fundraising

  • Invite community to events

  • Have fun, build friendships, and remain
    open to including every person

 
How do I join? 
Subscribe to our mailing list (Subscribe here) and complete all of the information. Registration is held during open trial dates in September and January.
 
Trial Dates 
You are welcome to attend rehearsal during registration periods for free and borrow a set of music to try out SDG. Please introduce yourself to our leadership. Another great time to try SDG Choir: 
participate in the Summer Sing in July, a concert in one rehearsal. (Crazy, yet fun!)
